What type of property to be leased for dance/fitness center?

I would like to open a fitness center in CT and have been looking online for property to lease, but I don't know what kind of property to look for. I need mostly empty space with wood floors and a mirrored wall. I don't think there'll be machines. What should I be looking for?

You need to look for FLEX SPACE. This can be located in a strip center or its own building. FLEX SPACE will allow you to convert it to a dance center. You likely will not find a space with wood floors and a mirrored wall, all those will have to be built once you locate the space.

Commercial Properties. You might find the wood floors but the mirrored walls are your responsibility.

How do you prepare yourself to pass a fitness test?

I have a fitness test coming up. I'm not out of shape or anything its I have low endurance. What can I do to more prepare myself for it? It is not a docters fitness test it is a school fitness test.

Find out in advance what the requirements and practice. If you have time, start out slowly and build you endurance. If you are taking it tomorrow, get outside and try everything at least once tonight. You'll get a better score even if you've only practiced once.

I know a guy who passed the school Presidential Physical fitness test by choosing a really athletic guy he expected to pass and trying to keep up with him. Even though he couldn't keep up the whole time, he was fast enough to pass the mile run portion anyway.

Good luck!

i took en the fitness test last week and passed.

the thing you need to do is that you need to wear light clothing

t-shirt, those stretchable shorts, no show socks and tennis shoes.

and running will be easier.

on running the 1-mile track you should jog instead of running

Running will get you tired easier

and jogging on the same pace will be easier.

Breathe with you nose than your mouth (you get tired easier)

What is the ideal level of fitness needed to join the army?

I just wanted to know what sort of fitness level would be good for joining the army. Im female and looking to join the dental corps and have started goin jogging etc. What standard should i reach and how have any of you done it or got on? Thanks in advance x

As a female, you should start training on push-ups and sit-ups, as well as running. For men, the minimum requirement is like correct 35 push-ups in 2 minutes in the age range of 17-21. Females have to get no less than 13 correctly performed push-ups from the plank position in that same age group.

You should always strive to do better than is required to pass. That way, you can get the required amount whether you are in good health or having a bad day. So, strive for more like the 90-100% marker, rather than just to pass with a mimimum score. That would be 36-42 correctly done push-ups in 2 minutes time, with no breaks or rest.

http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/apa/rc/apft.htm

Sit-ups are the same for both men and women, so you will need to do no less than 47 in 2 minutes to barely pass, and about 72-78 to score in the 90-100% range.

The run is actually a 2-mile run for now, though there is talk of changing this in the years to come. You will need to run 2 miles in 15 minutes and 36 seconds to score a 100, or 16:24 for a score of 90. So, you're looking at pushing yourself for a 7-minute to 8-minute mile for 2 miles straight.

The best way to train for that is to run 4-10 one-hundred yard sprints every day (lesser number on heavier run days), sprinting a full quarter mile at least 2x/ week, and running no less than 1.5 miles (on your light days, when you'd be running the most sprints), and up to 3 miles 2-3 times a week (on your light sprint days). After about 6 weeks of consistent training and progress, you should be up to this level if you are already running about 1.5 miles straight now.

Pull-ups are not a part of the Army PFT at this time, and were not part of it during my own time in service. We trained in it, but it was never tested. Again, there is talk of changing the testing requirements in the next few years.

the first answer is right - to prepare you should run, run and run some more. You will be on your feet, running, marching, etc a LOT during basic training. It will also help if you work on pushups and pullups. Good luck!!

If you can run a mile in 8 minutes you are fine. Aim for that :)

What should I wear to an interview for a fitness club summer camp position?

I have an interview for a position as a summer camp counselor at a large fitness club (lifetime fitness) on saturday. The position is described as being very active, and in the initial phone call they told me their ideal candidate is someone who is very fun and active, willing to get down and play with the children.

I am twenty years old, so i want something young and that shows I am fun. I'm stuck about how to convey that I am the sort of person they are looking for while still looking put together and professional.

Thanks for the help!

If you are a male Wear a common fitness clothe like jogging pants and a fit shirt and match with sun glasses like this one http://www.sunglassesuk.com/c1/celebrity_sunglasses/alex_curran_2_sunglasses.asp if you're a female wear also jogging pants and a boxer shirt. About being a fun and active it's up to you just show it and let them feel that you're happy to be with.
